Every time you look at the photograph it should bring back the memories of your wedding day, that’s the essence of a good photograph hence, the importance of a good photographer. Nowadays, there are many Video and Photographic organizations who act more like a friendly “subject matter expert” making the entire concept of capturing the precious moments of your marriage simple, sophisticated and beautiful.
The wedding photographers also belong to specific association to match their industry standards. Amongst many, few well known associations are:
- Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA): This association grants membership to individuals who have a passion for creativity through lens. These photographers not only capture precious moments of the crowd without their knowledge thus making it natural, they also create a portrait of a lifetime with their photographs. WPJA also holds a contest annually for wedding photographers. This contest is meant to showcase the “found moment” by the photographer.
Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association ([AG] WPJA) is an off-shoot of WPJA which encourages creative image enhancement to foster fine-art photojournalism in weddings.
- Wedding and Portrait Photography International (WPPI): Wedding Photographers of America eventually became Wedding Photographers International (WPI) in 1978 to recognize enthusiastic photographers from all around the world. They promote as a forum for sharing high artistic and technical standards in wedding photography.
